2016 OVSA AND PVSA Recipients

Ohana100 Team contributed a combined total of 1,364 community service hours in 2016, earning a team PVSA Gold Award.   This award would not have been possible without the support and dedication of all our volunteers in Hawaii and WNY, who donated their time to Ohana100, serving children.  Mahalo again for believing in our literacy mission.

Ava Alders is our first young adult OVSA Gold Award and PVSA Silver Award recipient who completed 208 hours in 2016.  As was a full-time Student at the University of Hawaii and a U.S Coast Guard Seaman, Ava was able to donate her time to volunteer with Ohana100. She read with 60 Aiea EL Head start students twice a month.  She also volunteered with other organizations.

Catherine Mattson is our youngest OVSA Gold Award and PVSA Gold Award recipient who completed 147 community service hours in 2016.  In 2015, Catherine read with a little over 500 children around the island of Oahu.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS!
